FedEx started off as an idea by Frederick W Smith. Interestingly enough, in a term paper which graded an average by his professor.
Frederick believed urgent shipments shouldn’t be relied on passenger route systems as it didn’t make economic sense for time-sensitive shipments such as medicine, computer parts and electronic equipment, this is how FedEx was born.
FedEx have one of the fastest networks in the world when it comes to delivery time-frames, owning the world’s largest air cargo fleet, you can be sure that your packages will arrive on time with very limited delays. So if you’re ever in urgent need of a parcel to arrive quicker than others, FedEx is definitely the way to go!
They are known to be the world’s largest full-service all cargo airline. With their global trade value at an impressive $18 trillion, FedEx are always continuing to transport their business to align with population and growth, which essentially aligns with your customers’ needs and demands.
Having made many achievements, most recently taking the top honour of the Information Week Elite 100 Decade Award and also came 5th overall on the Elite 100 list, it shows how dedicated FedEx are in continuing and building their great success they have achieved.
If you’re ever in need of an urgent parcel delivery service, you can absolutely rely on FedEx and feel confident that your parcel will arrive in time to meet your deadline.
More recently in 2016 FedEx has acquired TNT. The acquisition of these two reputable worldwide courier companies and bringing FedEx and TNT together will allow both organisations to build upon the strengths of both companies, leading to a brighter future connecting even more people and possibilities around the world.
The two companies will grow and better meet the evolving needs of our customers across the globe. This is an exciting time for the nearly 400,000 team members in both organisations worldwide.
